Biography

I am very excited to be continuing at John XXIII School this year in ESL full time, and I look forward to meeting new, eager faces this year and having lots of fun with English!

After receiving my B.Sc. from the University of Victoria and my B.Ed. After Degree from the University of Clagary, I got married and 3 days later left for Japan with my husband where I enjoyed three wonderful years teaching English. The Japanese students and teachers were incredibly kind and generous and so excited to have a "real" English speaking person in their classes! Living there enabled us to travel all over Southeast Asia and we thoroughly enjoyed our adventures. After returning to Calgary in 1998, I began teaching in the SE and after one year came to the NE where I have enjoyed teaching at John XXIII and St. Rose in between having my two wonderful children. Math has been a passion of mine and I loved teaching it, but for the last 3 years ESL has been my focus and it's great! The kids I work with are so fun and I find such satisfaction from helping them learn this crazy English language. In my free time, I love to cook, read, travel and spend time with my family.
